Snowshoeing
I have to admit I've been sinking deep into the winter doldrums. Spring is my least favorite season and what's worse is this . Whatever February and March is. It's enough to make me pull the covers up over my head and sleep until July. But now, just one more month, then the hope of summer gets real!
Every year I try to find ways to make it more enjoyable. Last year Owen and I went snowshoeing and this year we decided to go again. With his sister, Jane. It was nice to find beauty in the awkward stage of winter.
Oh and not to brag but I did win the mini race at the beginning of our guided walk. The ranger has everyone run across a deep snowy field to show how easy it is to walk in snowshoes. Check out that hardware. Let it be said, there were no children on our walk. But had there been, they are really easy to push out of the way.
