Hello!

I’m Sarah Mac. I’m a writer, mom, runner. This is my original running blog, Running Starfish, started in 2009 to chronicle my first (and supposed to be last) marathon, all the way through qualifying for the 2016 Olympic Trials Marathon.

Compression Socks Test Run

As I mentioned before I got CEP compression socks to save my legs while working the Eugene Marathon Expo. I was really impressed with how good my legs felt even after hours of standing and walking. Where were these during my donut/coffee schlepping days?

I hadn't run in them, I felt like they were too rock star. But this week I've turned a corner. I feel like a real runner for the first time in years. And I'm pretty sure it's because I've been running even when I really, really don't want to. Running on sore legs, tired legs, in the rain, at 5:30am...the honeymoon is over in a way. But that's when it gets real.

My legs were feeling like bags of sand, stuffed into lead shoes. Ugh. The perfect opportunity to test the CEP compression socks. They are supposed to prevent shin splits, micro muscle tears, achilles pain and on and on. I would have to say they took my legs from heavy to fresh.

When you have heavy, dragging runs. Get on the roller and get the CEP socks! The brighter the better.
